The goal of the annual conference is to promote the exchange of ideas among economists conducting quantitative analysis of global economic issues. Particular emphasis will be placed on applied general equilibrium methods, data, and application. Related theoretical and applied work is also welcome.
The overall theme of the conference is "New Challenges for Global Trade in a Rapidly Changing World" with sub-themes on:
  • Measurement and impact analysis of changing world monetary system on global trade
  • Measurement and impact analysis of demographic transition and population aging on global trade and the world economy
  • Trade, environment, natural resources and sustainable development
  • The impact of internet and new innovation on global trade
  • Interaction between global trade and poverty, income distribution, inequality and development
Abstracts and organized session proposals are currently being accepted on the GTAP website through January 15. Registrations will be accepted from early January through April 30.
