John Whalley

John Whalley is a Professor of Economics at the University of Western Ontario, London, Canada and the Co-Director of the Centre for the Study of International Economic Relations. He is also a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a Research Fellow at the CESifo Network, a Fellow of The Econometric Society. He holds a BA in economics from Essex University (1968), and a PhD in from Yale (1973).

John Whalley contributed enormously to the applied general equilibrium modeling field since the mid-1970s. He has published numerous papers and books on CGE modeling applied to broad range of issues such as taxation, public finance, international trade, development, and environment.
